Camping with entertainment in the Hautes-Pyrénées
Camping L’Arriou in Beaudéan in the Hautes-Pyrénées is one of the few outdoor hotels in the Occitanie region to be open all year round. And with good reason: summer and winter alike, holidaymakers can enjoy a wide range of activities.
At the campsite, swimming enthusiasts can train in our heated pool between July and September. Take advantage of your free, unlimited access (during opening hours) to the pool reserved for campers to perfect your backstroke or breaststroke before lying back on a deckchair to relax.
The boulodrome is one of the campsite’s most convivial areas. It’s easy to make new friends here, and pétanque tournaments are sometimes organized. A brilliant opportunity to prove to your children or friends your shooting or pointing skills. Did the jack seem too far away? Take your revenge at ping-pong!
Leisure activities outside the Arriou campsite
On sunny days, you can go hiking or mountain biking in the Pyrenees National Park to admire the Pic du Midi and other Pyrenean peaks. You can also go rafting, canyoning or rock-climbing, fish in the river, paraglide over the green valleys or take part in a family transhumance. If your children are looking for more thrills, take them to an accrobranche park and film them as they climb from tree to tree, suspended several meters above the ground. At the Payolle nautical base, you can hire a pedalo, kayak, canoe or stand-up paddle.
When the Pyrenees put on their white coat, it’s time for the joys of powder. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, hiking on skis or snowshoes, tobogganing for the kids: the Pyrenees boast several prestigious ski resorts and large ski areas suitable for all ages and levels.
